Job Description
Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Flutter Mobile Developer to join their Financial Services technology team. This role involves the development of high-quality, scalable mobile applications that support critical business functions. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in Flutter/Dart, as well as native iOS or Android development, and have a strong understanding of mobile architecture and development best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
  • Build and integrate native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java) features when necessary.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and business stakeholders to deliver user-centric solutions.
  • Integrate mobile apps with backend systems using RESTful APIs.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and sprint planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
  • Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and propose proof-of-concepts (POCs) for innovation.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across platforms and environments.

Skills

  • Must have at least 3+ years working with Flutter/Dart and hands-on experience with native development for iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java)
  • Financial services experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in mobile application development
  • Strong proficiency with Flutter and Dart
  • Hands-on experience with native mobile development for either iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java)
  • Experience integrating mobile apps with backend services through RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of Flutter navigation, routing, and state management
  • Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and best practices in mobile CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficient with Git, Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, clean code principles, and app lifecycle management
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
