Junior Mobile Application Developer; Flutter

Responsibilities:

Implementing new features in our brand new Flutter based mobile application
Taking designs (usually in Figma) from concept to reality with great attention to the littlest of details
Interfacing with Pheed Loop's API and adding to it or editing it where necessary (Python/Django)
Improving and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and tools to make app deployment fast and efficient
Building real-time features using tools like Firebase
Building creative interactive features using new technologies such as augmented reality
Monitoring crash reports, eliminating bugs, and keeping packages up to date
Writing technical documentation
Writing automated tests
Working in a tight feedback loop with the customer success team and directly with customers to make sure we’re solving the right problems and innovating
Exploring new technologies and frameworks to implement at Pheed Loop to keep systems and engineering efforts up to date, safe, and quick to build on
Running product and architecture experiments, assessing success with product analytics data
Working with marketing and account management teams to understand customer needs
Communicating regularly with technical and strategic partners on integration updates

Skills:

Proficient with mobile app development using Flutter & Dart
Experience with a backend development framework (Python/Django preferred)
Experience working with Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Functions, FCM)
Experience writing clean and maintainable code
Experience with Git and version control
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills (critical requirement to as documentation is a large part of this role)
Can work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, often independently with tight deadlines
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or other science/engineering field

Qualifications:

1 year of full-time software development work experience
Nice to have: Experience with Python/Django, Figma and design tools, native mobile app SDKs, previous experience leading development teams or working at small companies
