Senior Flutter Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of new features for the Pod Point Home App, built in Flutter.
• Work closely with designers to create intuitive, modern, and beautiful app experiences.
• Ensure quality and performance through testing, review, and refinement.
• Help bring the Home App to feature parity with our legacy app and push forward modernisation of the UX.
• Support the evolution of the app into a Home Energy Management System, integrating new propositions like solar, heat pumps, and smart tariffs.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and services, occasionally contributing to backend work where needed.

Skills:

• Extensive experience in mobile app development, ideally 5+ years overall.
• At least 2+ years’ hands-on Flutter experience, delivering production-grade apps.
• A strong grasp of app architecture, state management, and testing in Flutter.
• An appreciation for design and UX — you enjoy working closely with designers to build elegant interfaces.
• Experience integrating REST APIs or GraphQL services.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles — CI/CD, testing, and version control.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and self-organisation skills.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and the ability to mentor others.
